Encryption and private browsing

AIP VPN powered by Bitdefender encrypts all incoming and outgoing traffic. The listing presents this as a way to keep online activity private and to limit who can monitor or intercept personal data while using the internet.

Use on public networks

According to the listing, users can connect to their own virtual private network when they use public networks. The description says this supports safe browsing, media streaming and content downloads in those settings.

Logging and security technology

The listing states that the app does not track online activity or keep traffic logs or browsing history. It also describes the app as backed by Bitdefender security technology. These are the developer's own statements and have not been independently verified here.

Allstate Identity Protection sign-up

The description says that people who are not members of Allstate Identity Protection can sign up at aip.com. It identifies the membership service as provided by InfoArmor, Inc., an Allstate Company. The closing text says sign-up is needed to access AIP VPN. The listing also mentions identity protection benefits but does not describe them in detail.
