on vpn VPN for Android is an Android VPN app for connecting to online resources through a VPNService-based connection. Its description presents the service as a way to browse privately and reach geographically restricted content.

VPN connection and privacy

The app describes its connection as a secure tunnel that encrypts data, with the stated aim of protecting it from unauthorized access. It also presents private browsing as a way to limit tracking of online activity and exposure of personal information. These are claims in the app description, not independently verified security guarantees.

Access to online content

The app is intended to help users reach content that may be geographically restricted or affected by censorship. The description mentions streaming services, social media platforms, and websites as examples. It also advertises protection against threats such as hackers, malware, and phishing, attributing this protection to the encrypted VPN tunnel.

Connection controls and performance

The interface is described as simple, with a single tap to connect or disconnect. The app also advertises a high-speed connection for browsing and streaming, but the supplied information gives no performance figures. Its stated purpose is to provide VPN access whether a user is at home, at work, or on the go.
