About this app

Brush Jjaemu is a casual cat-grooming game in which the player tries to brush a reluctant cat without being bitten. Each level revolves around reading the cat’s behavior, making controlled strokes, and stopping immediately when its attention turns toward the player.

Brush while the cat is looking away

The main control is a finger drag across the cat. Longer strokes produce higher scores, so the player has to balance the reward of continuing with the risk of being caught. The cat turns around at a random point between one and five seconds, preventing a fixed rhythm from being used every time.

When the cat is watching, the correct response is to freeze completely. Moving while it stares triggers a bite and ends the attempt. This creates a simple loop: brush during an opening, watch for a change in attention, stop at the right moment, and begin again after the danger passes. Releasing and gripping again does not reset the cat’s attention, so changing touch gestures cannot bypass the timing rule.

Short levels and reaction-based challenge

The levels are designed around brief attempts rather than a large map or a long narrative. The challenge depends on observing the cat’s actions and reacting to its patience, with later stages described as making the cat less patient and more alert. Players can pursue a persistent best score, while the source also presents the game as suitable for competing with friends through score chasing.

Three difficulty levels are identified: Easy, Medium, and Hard. Easy is intended for beginners, Medium provides a more moderate test, and Hard emphasizes faster reactions. The source also describes three distinct cats with different characteristics that affect play, adding variation to the central brushing task.

Cat behavior and presentation

The cat’s expressions change from sleepy to suspicious, giving visual cues about its current mood. Sound effects provide additional warnings, including ambient purrs, low growls, and sharper roars. A sudden lunge can appear before the game displays a “YOU DIED” result, making a failed attempt part of the game’s presentation rather than a quiet interruption.

Brush Jjaemu uses one-hand portrait play and straightforward controls. Its focused design makes it suitable for short sessions, although the central loop remains narrow: brushing, stopping, avoiding a bite, and improving the best score. Players looking for extensive story content, large maps, or many different modes may find less variety here than in a broader game.
