Entering the Island and Exploring the Map

FortCraft places players onto a massive 16 million square meter map featuring 13 distinct environments available at launch. Each match begins as you jump from a floating taxi onto a colorful island. Choosing your landing spot shapes your initial strategy; jumping into a larger city offers access to better weapons and armor, though you will likely encounter numerous competing combatants. As time progresses, the play area gradually shrinks, forcing players into closer encounters and direct confrontation until only one remains.

Gathering Resources and On-the-Fly Building

Survival in FortCraft depends heavily on your ability to gather materials and construct structures quickly. Armed with a trusty hammer, you can smash through vehicles, trees, and buildings to collect building materials. These materials allow you to build structures in any shape or manner required for traversal and defense. If a river blocks your path, construct a bridge; if a high mountain is in the way, build a ladder or tower to reach new heights, survey your surroundings, or build a solid fortress to secure victory.

Combat Arsenal and Special Weapons

Players can arm themselves with a diverse selection of 12 unique weapons distributed across five standard classes, including pistols, shotguns, submachine guns, rifles, and sniper rifles. Beyond standard firearms, you can utilize special destruction tools such as bazookas, grenade launchers, and flamethrowers to clear out obstacles and opponents. The game also provides three different modes, each supporting a customizable user interface where you can alter the size, position, and transparency of controls to suit your preferences.

Character Customization and Progression

The game features a large cast of characters alongside hundreds of different accessories and outfits to personalize your avatar. You can also use tokens earned during gameplay to upgrade your parachute and melee weapon. These cosmetic upgrades and customized looks do not alter the core game mechanics, but they allow you to tailor your character's appearance. Additional social and management systems, including ranked seasons, friends, streams, a store, a gallery, and chat functions, accompany your progression through the island survival experience.
