About this app

Kid Chameleon is a pixel-art action platformer in which Casey crosses stages, defeats enemies and collects masks that change his abilities. He begins as a child who can jump onto enemies, then gains other ways to handle obstacles as he explores.

What do the masks change?

The game lists nine collectible masks, each with a different power. Transformations include an axe-wielding maniac, a human tank, a medieval knight and a berserker. Other described forms show how abilities can affect movement or combat: a ninja can use a katana against enemies and obstacles, while a fly form can jump higher and glide. Finding a new mask therefore changes the actions available to Casey during a stage.

Do you have to play every stage in order?

No. Kid Chameleon has more than 100 stages, but its route is not strictly linear. Hidden areas reward exploration, and secret warp points can carry Casey to another level, skipping stages along the way. The source describes a complete run as requiring at least 50 levels rather than every stage. Looking for a warp point can change the route you take, though it is not necessary to find every hidden area to keep moving.

Can you stop partway through a run?

The Android listing says you can save your progress whenever you want. It also lists offline play, so an internet connection is not required for play. These features are useful to know in a game with many stages and routes that can lead through different parts of the level map.
