VPN connections and access

FAST VPN 2018 is a VPN app described as connecting users to servers for browsing and accessing websites and apps that may be restricted in their region. The description says a connection can be started with one tap. It presents IP address hiding as part of the service’s private-browsing purpose, but provides no technical detail about how that protection works or how users can verify it.

The app’s stated access use covers both websites and apps. This may be relevant when a service is unavailable through a user’s current regional connection, though the description does not specify which services or locations are supported. It also does not explain how server locations are selected, so no particular country coverage or selection controls can be confirmed.

Supported connection types

The description says the VPN works over Wi-Fi, LTE, 3G, 4G, and other mobile data connections. These are the network types it identifies for connecting; it does not list device or Android-version requirements. The stated ability to use these different connection types places the app’s main VPN function in both Wi-Fi and mobile-data contexts.

Bandwidth and privacy claims

FAST VPN 2018 is described as offering high-speed service and unlimited bandwidth, alongside anonymous or private browsing. These are claims in the app description, not independently verified performance or privacy guarantees. No speed figures, bandwidth terms, encryption details, or information about data handling are provided. The source also does not explain whether connection speed varies by network, server, or location.
