Free VPN Russia - get Russian IP - VPN ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ provides VPN connections through a selected server or directly through a Russian server. Its stated purpose is to change the IP address associated with a connection, including to a Russian IP for accessing content intended for users in Russia.

Choosing a server and connecting

The app describes two separate connection controls. One connects to a VPN server selected from a list; the other connects directly to a Russian VPN server. This gives users a choice between selecting a listed server and using the direct Russian connection. The description does not identify the countries available in the server list, so the range of locations cannot be specified here.

Connecting through another country is presented as an option for trying to reach websites or apps that are blocked or region-restricted. A Russian server is the relevant choice when the goal is to obtain a Russian IP address for Russia-specific content. These are stated uses of the connections, not a guarantee that any particular site or app will be accessible.

Other stated uses

The app description also identifies anonymous access to websites and apps and torrent downloading as uses. It mentions connecting while using open Wi-Fi networks as a privacy-related use, but does not provide technical details about the connection or explain how protection is implemented. The app's documented controls are the two connection options and, for the list-based option, choosing a server; further settings are not described.
