Lion VPN - MTproto Proxy for Telegram is an Android app for setting up a proxy connection for Telegram. Its described workflow involves signing in with a Telegram account, choosing a proxy from a list, and using the app’s connection control to connect Telegram to that proxy.

Setting up a Telegram proxy

The app presents proxy setup as a simple, one-click process rather than requiring users to configure connection settings themselves. The description identifies MTproto proxies as the focus and says users can choose from a list of proxies. It refers to that list as a list of daytime proxies and explains that users can select an option according to their preferences. The source does not provide further details about individual proxy entries or how they are selected for the list.

Choosing a proxy and connecting

The described steps start with logging in using Telegram account credentials, which the source says helps integrate the app with Telegram use. Users can then open the proxy list using the app’s Lock button and choose a proxy. To establish the connection, the description directs users to open Telegram and press the “Connect to Proxy” button within Lion VPN - MTproto Proxy for Telegram. This outlines a user-directed selection and connection process; it does not explain how proxy availability is determined or provide technical connection details.

Telegram app support

The app is described as compatible with both the main Telegram app and Telegram X, allowing users of either client to use the proxy setup. The source also describes connections as encrypted, but provides no technical detail about encryption or independent security verification. Its speed and privacy statements are promotional claims rather than documented performance or security measurements. The stated purpose remains proxy setup and connection for Telegram, with a proxy list and connection control as the concrete supporting tools.
