Mobile Content Transfer Wizard is an app for transferring personal content from one smartphone to another. It is intended for situations such as moving to a new device, switching between phones, or creating a copy of selected personal content. The supported content listed by the app includes contacts, pictures, and videos.

Transfer personal content over Wi-Fi

The app uses Wi-Fi to move contacts, pictures, and videos wirelessly between devices. This avoids the need for a cable or a Bluetooth connection during the described transfer process. An internet connection is not required, according to the supplied app information; Wi-Fi is used to establish the transfer rather than to access the internet.

Guided transfer process

Mobile Content Transfer Wizard is presented with an easy-to-use interface and step-by-step process. The stated workflow is to select or follow the available transfer steps on the participating smartphones, then move the supported personal content from the older or source phone to the other device. The source also describes the transfer as secure, but it does not provide technical details about the security method.

Supported devices and limitation

The supplied description states that the app works with both Android and iOS devices. However, compatibility may depend on the particular devices and setup used for the transfer, and no more specific requirements are provided.

Transfer Wizard does not transfer application data. Its documented scope is limited to personal content such as contacts, pictures, and videos, so information stored inside other apps is outside the stated functionality.
