SHOWTIME is an Android app for watching movies, television series, sports, and live news. Its listing presents it as a streaming service that can be used at different times and places, and it highlights subtitle support as one of its main playback options.

What kinds of content does SHOWTIME include?

The listing names several series, including Yellowjackets, 1883, Billions, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, along with a financial drama and a science fiction title. It also refers to original series such as Dexter: New Blood, The Chi, Homeland, Shameless, and The Affair. For sports viewers, the listing mentions Showtime Championship Boxing, NFL on CBS, and Bellator MMA. Live pay-per-view boxing events are described as still available.

Does the app offer subtitles in more than one language?

Yes. The listing says SHOWTIME supports subtitles in multiple languages, so users can choose the language they prefer for playback. The description does not provide further detail about which languages are available or how subtitle settings are changed within the app.

Is SHOWTIME free to use, and is it ad-free?

The listing describes SHOWTIME as a free app and mentions a free trial with the option to cancel at any time. It also says the app offers ad-free playback. However, the same description includes an advertising heading, so the listing does not give a consistent answer on advertising. Readers who need certainty should confirm the current pricing and ad terms before installing.

What does the listing say about the Paramount+ transition?

The listing states that current users can keep using their existing platform for now. It also says the standalone application is planned to be phased out later in the year, and that a Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan is needed to keep uninterrupted access, including Paramount+ library content. The listing does not give a specific date for this change, so the timing should be checked directly with the service.
